The Fantasy Art of Dungeon Siege II - Boss Monster - The Giant Trilisk

Baldur's Gate is a series of fantasy computer role-playing games set in the "Forgotten Realms" Dungeons & Dragons game world. It uses the Infinity Engine and Dungeons and Dragons game rules. The complete story arc is covered by Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, and the Throne of Bhaal expansion. The Tales of the Sword Coast expansion reveals additional areas but is not plot-critical. The Dungeon Siege II fantasy game art on this page has cutscenes and screenshots of the first boss in Dungeon Siege II, a spectacular three-headed snake, the Giant Trilisk.

The Fantasy Art of Dungeon Siege II

The Giant Trilisk was an amazing testament to the power of the shards that you have encountered. A horde of angry spirits transformed a simple creature into a gargantuan beast of immense power. Supposedly standing as high as a tree, the Giant Trilisk has three heads, each of which attacks in a different fashion. Its deadly poison breath forces enemies to run for cover or flee in terror, and its ability to heal itself makes it a tenacious foe.

The Giant Trilisk will live on only as a creature of legend. There has never been a creature like it, and hopefully another will never be created. Its destruction was complete, and there were no witnesses to the battle between it and the brave heroes who defeated it. Was it truly real, or did the heroes exaggerate the danger of a more mundane foe? History will never know.
