Elementals: The Magic Key is a hidden object game with various mini-games, including a strategy board game to simulate combat. The overall look and feel of the story and fantasy game art is "Harry Potter and kids-in-magic-school", and the main male and female characters look rather like young Harry and Hermione in the early movie versions.

The game also has simple magic-symbol-drawing minigames very similar to the glyph-drawing in Glyph 2, which also has a strong elemental theme to the game.
