The Fantasy Art of Heroes of Might and Magic III - Conflux Faction - Elementals

Heroes of Might and Magic III is a turn-based strategy game developed by New World Computing for Microsoft Windows and released by the 3DO Company in 1999. It features a very wide selection of classic mythological creatures and not-so-classic fantasy creatures that are nevertheless easily recognized, especially by those familiar with the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game. Our fantasy art galleries include game art from screenshots, movies of cutscenes, and other official media.

The Conflux creatures and heroes are mainly elementals. Their heroes are the Planeswalker (might) and Elementalist (magic), and of the factions, their towns have the strangest art, not really having any primary fortress.

The new faction that was originally to be introduced in the the Armageddon's Blade expansion was the mechanical and futuristic Forge Town, drawing from world events depicted in the corresponding Might and Magic roleplaying games to introduce a high-tech / mechanical element. But the outcry from fans resulted in a hasty change, and the new faction unveiled was instead the elemental Conflux.

A few mechanical elements did end up in the sequel, Heroes of Might and Magic IV, with the Order faction.
