Heroes of Might and Magic V is a turn-based strategy video game fully rendered in 3D and the game art features classic fantasy creatures in an epic world setting. The story arc is covered in the original Heroes of Might and Magic V game and two expansions, Hammers of Fate and Tribes of the East. A significant sidestory is explored in greater detail in the first-person fantasy role-playing video game Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
Heroes of Might and Magic V took the best elements of Heroes IV and combined it with the popular world and combat interface of Heroes III. There are many familiar units and abilities from previous games, but the world setting was redone and for fantasy art inspiration, they appeared to have drawn considerably from the popular Games Workshop table-top war game WarHammer Fantasy. Many classic mythological creatures are featured throughout the game and in beautifully detailed variations. In general, heroes suffer from being extremely muscular and with very fat hands -- a trait also seen in SpellForce 2.

Our fantasy art galleries include stills from screenshots, movies of cutscenes, and official media. This page contains site maps for all our heroes of might and magic 5 pages.
Faction Overview pages include small portraits of heroes and creatures, and miscellaneous fantasy artwork related to that faction.
Unit pages have large screenshots of the various units that can be recruited by the faction, and some unit information from the game. Units not assigned to any one faction are classed as Neutral and there is an overview of them here.
Town pages show all the different town improvements that can be built by the faction, as well as various screenshots of each faction's epic castle (although each "town" contains at least an enormous fort, franchise tradition still refers to them as "towns").
