If you thought you'd heard the last of Mortimer Beckett after he managed to evict the ghosts from his uncle's house in Mortimer Beckett and the Secrets of Spooky Manor, think again!
Apparently the ghosts were able to enter the manor through an open time portal, which is not good news. In fact, it has caused random objects to start passing through and ending up in random locations throughout history, which has created dangerous time paradox.
It's up to Mortimer, with the help of eccentric uncle Jerome, to put things right.

Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox is a hidden-object game set in various periods of time, including a fantasy world of Greek gods and a future world of robots. This background story allows them to mix in all sorts of anachronistic references into each piece of game background art.
The story is continued from Mortimer Beckett and the Secrets of Spooky Manor, which had much more cluttered hidden object game scenes.
The random time travelling aspect, repairing things in the past, and the Beckett name make this game suspiciously analogous to the television series Quantum Leap, featuring the time-travelling character "Sam Beckett".
