Ninja Blade is a third-person action game involving stylish sword-fighting, extensive use of cinematic sequences, and epic monsters. It plays like an anime with superpowered martial arts and action on an epic scale. The fantasy artwork here is a mix of stylish, modernized ninja juxtaposed on a very medieval/magical look and feel to the weapons. Although the initial action suggests zombie-like adversaries, most monsters and bosses are simply monstrous-looking.
This page of fantasy game art from Ninja Blade has scenes from Mission 1. Almost immediately after defeating Pox Giant, the player must make a harrowing escape from a crumbling building and quickly encounters the second boss, the enormous Arachne. While this spider-type monster is impressive, in Mission 2, we will encounter an even larger boss creature.
The remaining two weapons -- the implausible whip and grappling-hook Twin Falcon Knives, and the armor-crushing StoneRender Sword -- are added to the protagonist's (Ken Ogawa) repetoire. Since you can replay missions, after Mission 1 you can replay the mission, this time with all the weapons and abilities already acquired. We have occasionally done this in some of our movies -- not all of them are from a linear play-through of the game.
