The Adventures of Mary Ann: Lucky Pirates is similar to Puzzle Hero and Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, except it uses a variant match-3 game system that encourages fast and engaging play: Players can make as many moves as they can manage before the pieces stop falling. And enemies don't do any match-3 at all, but instead rely on removing tiles from the game in a manner that reflects what they are (Octopi, for example, use their tentacles to randomly remove tiles; enemy ships "blast away" sections of the game board) and cause damage only if the tiles that fill in the blanks create a match next to skull tiles. Most of the fantasy game art is in the title menu and in the partial pictures of enemies on the game board. Our galleries also show the various game maps, items, and mini-games to be found. |
